A scenic drive through river valleys and terraced hills. We begin our transition from urban hustle to mountain stillness.
Transition into the higher valley along the Marsyangdi River. Pass spectacular waterfalls and enter the Manang district.
The trail enters deep forests of pine and fir. First glimpses of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II appear on the horizon.
Walk through a steep and narrow valley to reveal the dramatic Paungda Danda rock face. Transition into the high-altitude desert.
Take the upper route via Ghyaru for the best views. The air becomes thin, requiring mindful movement and rhythmic breathing.
A vital day for rest and adaptation. Short hike to Gangapurna Lake or the Cave of Milarepa for silent contemplation.
Ascend steadily towards the pass. Spot blue sheep grazing on the barren slopes. Evening focus on grounding meditation.
Reaching the foot of the pass. Rest early and prepare the mind for the long ascent tomorrow.
The ultimate challenge. Cross the 5,416m pass at sunrise. Descend to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath.
Walk through the moon-like landscape of the Kali Gandaki valley. Reach the "Apple Capital" of Nepal.
Follow the river valley between the giants: Dhaulagiri and Annapurna I.
Descend into lush subtropical terrain. End the day in the natural hot springs for muscular and spiritual restoration.
A long ascent through rhododendron forests. Re-engage with the vibrant life of the jungle.
Sunrise at Poon Hill. Descend to Nayapul and drive to the serene Lakeside city of Pokhara for celebration.
